Program on “Experience Sharing-I AM A MEMBER” Started with SIGHT Day Celebration. Three eminent guests were invited to present their experience of SIGHT Project. Dr. Ashwini Kotrashetti IEEE MTT-S Bombay Section Chair started to shared her experience with first project done in 2017-18 for Comprehensive development plan for Tribal community of Walvanda Maharastra. Through this project, she connected and provided a charging facility solar enabled community charger for Cellular mobile networking at Walvanda village. She founded several network issue problems due to foliage and hill loss. For this project Vodafone company donated repeaters for making strong connectivity. Also She made a solar enabled community chargers (Laltern Charger) in absence of electricity. She made points to charge 10 mobiles simultaneously only 1 Rs. Cost of 2 Hours. In 2018-19 project, she worked for sustainable development program for women empowerment. She created awareness and training program for tribal girls and women About menstrual hygiene & safe environment friendly disposal. In her third project work from 2019-21, She worked for LoRaWAN enabled solar photovoltaic energy monitoring system. Dr. Ashwinin designed and implemented a photovoltaic energy monitoring system with weather based energy usage prediction to measure AC- DC Current of 0-100 Amperes for PV Installations of 1kw using LoRaWAN communication in the 865 MHZ ISM Band. She shared his experience highlights regarding sustainable solutions training, permissions, community involvements. She also shared about problem faced like theft, accountability, maintenance.
The next invitee Prof. Vaishalee Baste worked for Solar study lamp workshop awareness through IEEE Humanitarian activity committee events. Through this program school students assembled the Solar lamp. She also explained to fill the application and requirement to receive the humanitarian projects.
Third speaker Miss. Pooja Dhende shared her experience as a member organized various workshops, technical presentation, live projects and research paper writing. She completed project on rooftop solar photovoltaic with their team member. Presently she is working with Dr. J Dingdong for Tenhope 2021 program.
Ensuing, this great successful event was concluded by a Q&A from the audience, experience sharing of Sight member thanking words from the guests and teachers. A digital token of Appreciation was given out to all the Guests. Bombay SIGHT Chair Dr. Aarti Karande presented a sincere thanks to all the invitees and also shared the new SIGHT site views in between the members on the SIGHT Day celebration. She also proposed thank to Members Pratik Jadhav and Monica for site development project.
