G.H.Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur(GHRCE) is the flagship institute of Raisoni Group of Institutions(RGI). It is a premier research institute in Central India which has set many benchmarks in very short span of a decade. It is conferred with Autonomous Status under UGC Act 1956. It has received NBA Accreditation & Reaccreditations for upper span of 5 years for most of courses. It has hosted series of IEEE International Conferences (ICETET) in India and Abroad. Institute has started International Journal on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (IJETET). GHRCE has been identified as member of National Knowledge Functional Hub (NKFH)-a joint initiative of Higher Education and FICCI wherein only 5 members have been selected nationwide.
Founded in December 1999 with initially 44 members, the students chapter of IEEE has come along a long way. The efforts and dedication towards the smallest of tasks under the IEEE banner has lead to the chapter being recognized as one of the best chapters in the Bombay(Mumbai) division. It gives us immense pleasure to inform all that within a span of 1 year we have almost increased our membership count by nine times!! In 2012, the membership count was 105, but with dedicated efforts of the entire execom, the current count of membership stands at 869!! With this, it makes us Asia’s largest student branch!! However, this is just the beginning. This year, after visiting places across the globe, IEEE SB GHRCE’s very own international conference – International Conference in Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET) – is coming back to the place of it’s origin – NAGPUR. Going to be held in December 2013 it is one of the renowned and anticipated IEEE conferences across the world. The conference is now in its 6th edition -previously being held at Nagpur, Goa, Mauritius and Japan.
