Poster Presentation guidelines

  • It is compulsory to follow the PPT template of the poster presentation of the TENSYMP 2022. It is a single slide, Participant need to convert their paper intelligently as per the specified format. (Whichever points match with the content)
  • Schedule for Physical and virtual Presentation is displayed on the webpage.
  • For virtual presentation, track-wise WebEx links will be notified soon. Participants need to present a PPT formatted (Single Slide) poster in full screen (slide show) to the examiner as per the time schedule.
  • For physical presentation, Participants need to strictly follow the format, size, and color combination of the poster. No arrangement of printout is available at the destination.  shared on the poster guideline webpage. Participants will be provided with standees to present their posters.
  • We are encouraging our participants to make a 2 mins video showing the PPT formatted (single Slide) poster highlighting the work of the poster in a crisp manner.  It is advisable to show the participant’s face in the corner.  Max. size of video can be up to 10 MB.
  • Poster Presentation will be evaluated according to the criteria such as Relevance, Timeliness,  Technical,  Content, Novelty,  Overall Recommendation. 
  • The total time allotted to each poster is 10 minutes. Presenters need to present the poster for 8 minutes followed by 2 minutes for Questions and Answers.  The presentation will strictly follow the timetable. 
  • Please submit a poster (ppt slide) and 2 mins video using google form by 15th June 2022.

guidelines for Presentation (Physical + virtual)

  1. All participants must present the poster with specified format only.
  2. For Physical presentation participant need to carry the hard copy of the post

Rubrics for Best Poster Evaluation

All the posters presented at the Conference will be evaluated according to the following criteria and best poster awards will announced track-wise.

  • Novelty of the idea
  • Relevance of the work
  • Technical content of the poster
  • Outcome/conclusions of the work
  • Presentation skills and Q/A
  • Overall Recommendation

Template for Poster

The participants should prepare their posters using the following guidelines: 

 

Poster ID

Title of the Poster

Poster content should focus on the below-mentioned points

●      Introduction

●      Motivation and Objectives of the work

●      Current status of the work from literature

●      Methods, Schematics, Algorithms

●      Results, Findings and Discussion

●      Future Scope

●      Summary and Conclusions

Poster dimensions – A0 i.e. (2.759 x 3.901 feet or 33-1/8 x 46-13/16 inches or 841 x 1188 mm or 84.1 x 118.8 cm)

Style selection

  • Use Sans Serif fonts for titles and headings (for example, Arial, Franklin Gothic, Helvetica, Tahoma, Trebuchet, or Verdana).
  • Use Serif fonts for the body (for example Times New Roman, Palatino).
  • Do not use all CAPS. Use “Sentence case.”
  • The text should be legible from three to five feet away. Title font size should be about 100 points or larger and text 24 points or larger.
  • Graphs, pictures and tables should be of good resolution (at least 300 DPI), axes titles and scales should be in proper size.
  • DO NOT make graphics larger simply by stretching them. Size and resolution must be captured at the source.
  • DO NOT make graphics larger by stretching them on the screen. They will not look good. Size and resolution must be captured at origination (i.e.: scanning at a high resolution). 

Color scheme

  • Colors should be used to unify the poster.
  • Choose only 2 or 3 strong and primary colors consistently.
  • Use colors to highlight keywords, but most text should be in Black.
  • Backgrounds should be plain (white is a good choice). Avoid backgrounds with patterns or gradients.

Virtual Presentation: Participants who will not come for a physical  presentation will be supported with a virtual meet link for presentation.

Physical Presentation: Participants will be provided with space to showcase their posters.

Yes, Conference is in hybrid mode. Presenters can choose either online or offline mode according to their preference. Indicate the mode of registration in the registration portal.

Yes. Registered author can transfer his registration to co-author, who should be a registered participant (student/delegate/author). Registered author should provide transfer request in email on or before date. More details visit the Transfer Policy in the registration page.

Eligibility Criterion:

a.    Applicant should be 1st Author in the paper and should register and physically present during the TENSYMP

b.    Applicant should be IEEE Student Member or Graduate Student Member for 2022

c.    Letter from the Institute stating that Institute has neither funded nor reimburse fully or partially the travel related expense.

Standard Poster size A1 (594 X 841  MM or 23.4 X 33.1 INCHES).

Each participant will have 10 minutes to present their idea/research work/ contribution in their domain followed by a Q&A session.

The poster presentation is scheduled on 2nd and 3rd July.

You have to prepare a video duration of 2 minutes (120 seconds) that will emphasize the Introduction, Objectives, Methods/Schematic/Diagram/Algorithm, Results/Findings, and Discussion, Future Scope, Summary/Conclusions, Acknowledgements (include if you have received funding’s from any)
