ABOUT VIDUSHI PROGRAM
The VIDUSHI is divided into three phase:
In the first phase of VIDUSHI we conducted and provided the Technical Training in Plumbing, Solar Technology, Rain water Harvesting, Solar Technology. In the second Phase started VIDUSHI –Computer literacy program .This VIDUSHI project is the best ongoing project of SIGHT, IEEE Bombay section,. During this project more than 200 tribal and rural women benefited. The target area of project is Rural and Tribal belt of Maharashtra and ninety nine percent people of these areas are dependent on the Agriculture for their survival. Since for their day to day
survival depends on the agriculture so they do not prefer to go for any kind of training during the working hour. They are not only unaware with the computer education but also about the primary and secondary education. The target people for this project were the people above the 25 age group. The reason to choose this age group was that they are not allowed to move out from the particular areas due to lots of household responsibilities. It was very difficult job for me to call for training these people so make it possible I arranged tens of meetings. With
the local communities in the duration of six months and convinced them about the output of this program.
The IEEE Student branch at SVCET, Rajuri received the approval for IEEE SIGHT VIDUSHI Computer literacy program on 02nd JAN 2016. To start the activity, we formally invited Prof. Chanakya Kumar Jha, Chair, IEEE SIGHT, IEEE Bombay section to iaugurate to guide the candidates about the ongoing activities at SVCET. Dr. Chanakya Kumar Jha readily accepted our invitation and he inaugurated the IEEE SIGHT – VIDUSHI Computer Literacy program on 02nd JAN 2016. In his inaugurated address, he highlighted the history of IEEE SIGHT VIDUSHI program and various
activities of SIGHT. He shared useful information about the importance of computer literacy and the various fields where knowledge of computer is useful. Finally, he shared the ongoing activities at SVCET under SIGHT and invited us to contribute to the IEEE SIGHT VIDUSHI – Computer Literacy program.
